Tone Those Thighs With These Gentle-On-The-Knees Exercises

Toning your thighs, both inside and out, can be tricky, especially if you suffer from sore or painful knees. However, there are some exercises you can do which are gentle on the knees and will have you looking your best this summer. With continued training, this area of your body will look great enabling you to feel more comfortable and extend your exercise routine. For best results, follow these thigh exercises with a gentle cardio workout.

Inner Thigh Leg Raises

Lay on your right side with your hands placed to the right side of your body. Hold your weight with your right arm slightly behind you. Bend your left leg at a ninety-degree angle on the ground and extend your right leg, also placing it on the ground. Raise your right leg and keep the rest of your body stable. Lift your leg up and lower it 15 times. Swap sides and repeat.

Crescent Kicks

Stand with your feet hip width apart with arms by your sides. Looking straight ahead, step onto your left foot and move your right leg forward in a large circular movement from left to right. Now step onto your right foot and repeat with your left leg. Repeat this left leg/right leg repetition 10 times.

Scissor Kicks

Lay your back flat to the ground and raise your legs up to a 45-degree angle. Swing your legs open, crossing your left leg over your right leg returning to the open position. Then cross your right leg over your left leg. Do this movement quite quickly to maintain a scissor kick motion. Continue this movement for 25 reps.

Frog Stretch

Continue lying on your back with your arms by your side. Slowly bend your knees towards your chest. Flex your feet and turn your knees out to the side with your heels touching. Then press your legs out to a 45-degree angle. Squeeze your inner thighs together and bend your knees back in. Repeat this movement 20 times.

Shapely lean legs will soon be yours once you start doing these exercises on a regular basis. Don't forget to maintain your healthy eating habits to maintain your weight loss.
