Here are two additional at home exercises you can add to your arsenal that will help you while on our FIT Medical Weight Loss Program. Start off slow, but push yourself and try and get to the point where you can do any combination of these exercises for 20-30 mins 3 times a week.

Diamond Push-ups
Are you sick of your arm waiving more than your hand? No need to be afraid of short sleeve shirts any longer, with this simple at home exercise you can tone up those tricep muscles without any weights or equipment.
Start by getting into a normal pushup position (If push-ups are difficult for you drop from your toes to your knees). Your hands should be directly under your shoulders and your hands turned in at a 45 degree angle to alleviate pressure off of your wrists. Start warming up by doing about 10 normal push-ups in this position. Next we are going to stay elevated and transition our hands directly under the chest with thumbs and index fingers touching creating a diamond. This hand position isolates the back of the arm (triceps muscle). Lower your body down, keeping your hands underneath your chest, DO NOT have your hands underneath your chin/face as that puts excessive pressure on your shoulder joint and strain on your neck. Repeat this exercise to failure at least 3 x’s. Make sure to keeps your hips flat and in line with your shoulder and feet. You should be able to lay a board flat from your heels (or back of knees) to the top of your head.
SL Deadlifts
This exercise works your balance, in a proprioceptive enriched environment, and tones the quads, hamstrings and gluteal muscles. For this exercise you will need some form of hand weights; this can be anything from two 5 lb dumbells to 2 canned food items. Start this exercise by holding one item in each hand, shift you weight onto 1 leg and slightly bend it, lifting your other up off the floor behind you. Once you have your balance on your 1 bent leg, bend at your hips lower your hands down towards the foot you are standing on, slowly stand back up and repeat 12 times on each leg. Remember its bend knee/1l Squat, bend at hips keeping your back striaght, then stand. Do this exercise 3x's on each leg or until failure; you will be amazed at the balance and leg strength you can gain through this exercise.
Both of these exercises help keep problem areas tone during weight loss. Whenever patients have lost a significant amount of weight on the FIT Medical Weight Loss program they ask for ways to tighten up certain areas and these are two great ways to gain some muscle tone and strength from the comfort of your own home.
