Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Avocados: Start by slicing your avocados into wedges, making sure to remove the pit and skin carefully. Each avocado will yield about 6-8 wedges, depending on its size.

  2. Season the Avocados: In a small bowl, mix together the almond flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Lightly coat each avocado wedge with the flour mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.

  3. Wrap with Bacon: Take a slice of bacon and wrap it around each avocado wedge. You may need to cut the bacon in half or slightly trim it to fit around the avocado properly. Secure the bacon with toothpicks if needed.

  4. Cook the Fries: Heat a non-stick skillet or oven-safe pan over medium heat. If you’re using a skillet, add a tablespoon of olive oil for extra crispiness, though it’s optional. Cook the bacon-wrapped avocado fries for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bacon is crispy and golden brown. Alternatively, you can bake them in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes.

  5. Serve and Enjoy: Once cooked to your liking, remove the fries from the skillet or oven and let them cool slightly. Serve them with a side of your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or sour cream, for an extra boost of flavor.
