- Take the stairs. This one is easy! Whenever given the option, avoid the elevator and take the stairs. This helps build muscle while doing cardio and is easy to blend into your day-to-day.
- Mix cardio into normal life. Throw short spurts of cardio into your day-to-day. If dinner is going to take 20 minutes in the oven - go for a 15-minute walk! Find ways to throw short bursts throughout the day.
- Take a class! Cardio classes can be fun! Spin classes or martial arts are two great types of classes to take, but there are many more. Find a class that looks fun and try it out.
- Switch it up. Don't do the same cardio routine every time. Mix it up! Biking, running, walking, hiking, swimming - so many different possibilities! Don't get bored with sticking to one routine.
