Many of us spend at LEAST 40 hours per week sitting in a cubicle. This is often used as a reason to not have time to exercise. However, fear not! We have a solution for you. Here are five workouts that can be performed daily, right inside your cubicle.
1. Arm Circles - Reach out and extend your arms in either direction. Make small, consistent circles with the tips of your fingers. Repeat again, making circles in the opposite direction.
2. Curls - Take a stapler, water bottle, or anything else that you have at your desk with some weight in your hand and reach your arm out with your palm facing upwards. Bend your arm and curl towards your chest. Hold for a few seconds, and release gently back down. Repeat.
3. Toe Raises - Stand up straight with your feet flat on the floor. Lift up to stand on your toes for 5 seconds. Gently release back into the flat-footed standing position. Repeat.
4. Leg Raises - Sit down and straighten both of your legs in front of you and hold in place for five seconds. Lower your legs back to the ground without touching the floor. Repeat.
5. Stationary Jog - Stand up out of your seat and jog in place. To make this harder, try lifting your knees. Do this for a minute or two a few times a day.
Having a desk job doesn't mean that you can't stay fit! Take advantage of these exercises to stay fit during your 40-hour work week.
