- Start good exercise habits now. Depending on who you ask, it takes about 21 days to create a habit. If you are worried that your motivation will be diminished by the time winter hits, make healthy routines habits by starting now.
- Add a few new healthy recipes to your "cookbook". Winter is a great time for comfort food. Comfort food does not have to be unhealthy. Start working on a few new recipes now to help get you through the cold months.
- Have alternate plans for exercise. Depending on where you are, it may be a little harder to throw in running shoes and head out the door. If going to the gym is not going to be an option for you, come up with a plan. Exercise video apps are a good start!
- Find an accountability buddy. Dark, cold winter nights can get pretty lonely. Having an accountability buddy on your journey through the end of the year will help you stay fit and mentally sane at the same time.
