1) Cut back on fast food and take-out 

Going out to eat sounds easier and more convenient than preparing your own meals, especially when you’re rushed for time. However, you’ll start losing weight when you start preparing and eating your own recipes, rather than going out or eating take-out. First, try limiting how often you go out to eat. Then, when you do go out to eat, be sure to avoid menu items with high carb and high calorie counts. Instead, make smart choices and select dishes made with vegetables and protein.

2) Skip the salty and sweet snacks 

When you’re grocery shopping, skip the snack aisles altogether. Those processed snacks certainly look tasty and tempting, but they are loaded with carbs and calories.

3) Eat more veggies 

Add vegetables to every meal and have them as snacks. They’ll fill you up and help curb your cravings for unhealthy, high-calorie snacks. Be sure you choose veggies with low calorie and carb counts.

4) Eat breakfast 

Eating breakfast can help keep you from feeling hungrier later in the day. It also helps you resist the urge to make unhealthy snack choices and overeat during other meals. If you do eat breakfast make sure it is a low carb breakfast. You should know that research does not support eating breakfast as a way to lose weight, however. What matters is the total number calories you eat each day and not when you eat the calories. 

5) Get up and move!  

Find an exercise routine you like and start working out 3-5 days a week. Even if you only have a few minutes each day, you can still fit a sufficient amount of exercise into your week. Combining moderate exercise with a low-carb, low-calorie diet plan will help you start losing weight and reaching your weight loss goal.
