Tips on Getting A Better Night's Sleep

Feel like you can never get a good night's sleep? Did you know that it's possible that your daily habits may be a factor? That's right! If you aren't sure where to look, we have four different ways that your actions during the day may affect your sleep at night.

  • Try to stick to a schedule. If possible, try to go to bed at the same time every night! It will help your body set its own schedule.
  • Detach from screens as early as possible. Access to our TVs and smartphones keeps our brains moving even after they are turned off. Try reading instead!
  • Exercise during the day. Take some time to make sure you burn as much energy as you can during the day. Even if it's a quick walk at lunchtime, everything helps!
  • Make sure you are comfortable. It's hard to sleep if you aren't comfortable! Do what you can to make yourself as comfortable as possible.
